Here it comes again - the Holiday Army - in its annual march against us. Some of its generals are called "Thanksgiving," "Christmas," "Hanukkah," "New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. You are not respecter of heartbroken and emotionally wounded, and their troops are merciless. Take no prisoners! They demand that we participate in their joy and nostalgia or they will mow us with their militant tanks, festive mood.

Sometimes they tell their open war on us -without shame or remorse. Sometimes they wait for us in the ambush. Their intelligence operators have been working diligently all year, waiting for the Thanksgiving Day (or sometimes Halloween!) Trumpet to begin their attack. You just can not seem satisfied, their festivals and celebrations and dinner parties, if we can recruit them all in their ranks.

When I was 12 years old, continued my primary school my parents and told them I could be crazy.

Frankly, I do not know yet, remember how those events. But I remember a frantic call from school to my house, and a subsequent parent / teacher / child conference. I also remember when exposed to dozens of tests, including one where I recognize what I saw in a series of inkblots had. Did you know that the inkblot test is only on TV? I can assure youit is not.

"You think you might be a little crazy," my mother told me one day, after I hunted down what was going on. I did not mind, for my mother's comment in the least, she said these words sarcastically to me, even angry. The way they spoke was more in the vain, "how dare they," superimposed by the big surprise.

The school insisted that I begin to regularly attend "conferences" with the school psychologist. Besides the many tests that I got, I was alsogrilled on my life at home, she wanted to know if my parents abused me. I was a good student, an obedient girl, and I was completely confused about my predicament, or why I was sought.

After many of these conferences, my parents were finally called into the school and we all sat together in the principals' office. The psychologist was also there.

A yellow piece of paper was lined pushed across the desk at me. I immediately recognized my own writing, it was a paper bya way of a letter assignment. I pulled her closer to me so I know which one it was, I always enjoyed writing exercises. I remembered once, it was the job where we had to describe our bedroom at home.

I looked with a "yes, so?" and I shrugged.

"Did you write this yourself or did you copy it from a book?" asked the psychologist.

"I wrote it myself," I said, feeling offended.

"Do you remember what was the problem?" I was asked. Ihas done, of course, and I told them that we actually had to describe our bedrooms at home, and what it was like to go to sleep at night.

The eyes of the adults were on me. The client looked frustrated, the psychologist looked impatient. My parents looked angry. "Is that what your bedroom looks like it?" they asked me.

"No!"

"Do you have this on?"

"Well, sorta," I answered vaguely. For me at that moment she seemed bewildered. They seemed not tounderstand the meaning of "fiction", and if I had more to articulate at the time, I would have told them the genre. But it was more complicated than that, as my descriptions of my bedroom were obviously untrue, they were based on a very real sense. I was using my bedroom as a personification of how I felt inside. Do I really need to explain this to my teacher?

But the primary thing I remember about that day is sad. Somehow express myself often led to my beinginto trouble. I wondered if they were right, if something was wrong with me and if I write wrong, what I had written was. I felt ashamed.

They asked me to read the essay. I was immediately back in time when I found these pictures, it has inspired me lulled wrote. I described the bedroom in a house of misery was. My room was almost empty except for a urine stained mattress in the middle of the floor. In fact, I remember them laughing a lot about everything. But the school treated me as if I had done something bad. It was a turning point in my life.

For weeks, they ran aSeries of psychological tests on me. What I loved most was trying to outsmart the test, and tell them that I know what the test was designed to find out know. "The Thrill of It All" would be the first of Doris Dayand James Garner's 2 films together again and see Doris Day in a familiar role of a house to take a wife and mother. During a dinner party Beverly Boyer (Doris Day), wife of obstetricians Gerald (James Garner), spoiled the hosts with a story about how they are used "Happy Soap" to wash their children's hair because they are their hosts, the owner happens "Happy Soap." Before she knows Beverly make the new face of advertising "Happy Soap", the billboards and being wined and dined at largesocials. I must have been about 16 or 17. I was a guitar nut then. I could not play much, but I was a fan, a big fan of guitars. All music on television has been selected carefully to see if any serious guitar players were involved. I was into rock music, but I had to know enough understanding of the genre that most of the things I loved to hear was developed by the Blues.

One of the conditions of my blues education was a late-night program in the United Kingdom, called the Old Grey Whistle Test, I amto say, ashamed that although most of the music (I now know) was great, I dipped my nose at them most. I could only tolerate a keyboard or piano, but brass instruments were most definitely for pansies. You could not get more trombone away from Rock and Roll as a trumpet or!

I digress.

One night I saw that the ÖGWT roster was someone named Freddie King. I had heard of him because I had heard from most people. I can barely have scraped through my traditionalEducation, but to my Rock n Roll studies, I was definitely an A-class student.

Said Freddie King had to offer, and I felt I had to but the man is a breeze. So I tuned to a great man of our Freddie. He was introduced, and after a brief pause, the cooking began with an instrumental number called Boogie Funk.

I was struck awe.

I loved it. This guy was something else.

Over the months (and years) that followed, I was looking for any record store I knew Freddie King albums, search forthis tune, Boogie Funk. And I could find it? No, I bought several albums of Freddie's and was always disappointed because they did not one of them. I thought I would have questioned the name of the track, so I was looking for something that could have that track, and was always disappointed. Freddie King, was unfortunately a disappointment.

30 Roll Forward of years.

Freddie King is no longer with us. He died a few years after the TV show I saw. But I have never forgotten that a singlePerformance.

I was in a music store in Bristol (near where I live) looking for a Christmas gift for my wife. This is a bit like a ritual for me. I go and brave the crowds at the mall, looking for something for my wife, and at the end of a music shop. It happens every year. As luck would have it, I had found something for my better half, and was only seen on the shelves if there's something in my youth, when I came to the DVD section. I like the DVD's over CD'sto be honest. Live performances by artists long gone for me one of the luminaries of the modern age.

So I was browsing through the DVD's and what I saw? Yes, you thought some of the archives ÖGWT. not even think I was Freddie King, but on the DVD's, it was Freddie, listed in the credits for, yes, Boogie Funk. I almost wet myself. Do you sometimes have moments of pure excitement? I have in the store. Needless to say, I bought the DVD and fellhome.

Freddie King's performance was almost exactly like I thought. The excitement was the same, energy was the same. I had a window to discover my youth. Freddie played a Gibson ES 335 guitar (I think) and played a crucial Blues Boogie. Just for me.

Freddie, I'm sorry I lost you in all these years. They were lost but never forgotten. And back now, I am yours forever, while a fan again!

Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars are one of the best decisions today in high-quality, affordable binoculars. When I started hunting, I did not think much of binoculars. The difference wasamazing, but Zeiss binoculars were much more expensive than my budget allows. The importance of a good pair of binoculars should soon be really really important to me.

The next day we were in the early hours of the morning hunt. There was only one small light, and it was very cold and wet. I tried a clearing glass, and I could not see anything. My binoculars had fogged on the inside. That made me feel very helpless during the hunt. I knew there were moose around, but I could not get myBinoculars to find them. Needless to say, the quality was very important to me at this point.

I have a lot of research and decided to buy a set of Nikon binoculars. I bought the 10x42 model because of the large distances, where I would use, but the Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars are just as good if not better. I liked the way I could see a full field of view with my glasses on. I had not been able to do before. I also liked the overall optical quality. Youwere significantly better than any other binoculars I tried in my price range. Are they as good as today Zeiss and Swarovski binoculars? No, but they are quite close to one-tenth of the price.

The only thing I'm not fond of is the lens cap. They are not the best I've seen, but I do not use them when I'm hunting anyway. So, I do not want to look at a problem. During storage, they remain in their case, and the caps remain good.

I really believe the Nikon Monarch 8x42Binoculars are some of the best available today binoculars at a reasonable price. If you can afford Zeiss or Swarovski, go ahead. If not, check them out here. They are a really quality set of binoculars that will not break the bank. Nikon also has a no-fault lifetime warranty on her back, if you need it.

Not sure what happens to me on this one, but it seems like the more I hear, the better So Much For The Afterglow gets. So Much For The Afterglow is simply given one of their best CDs to date.

So Much For The Afterglow grabs your attention right from the start with so much for the afterglow and can not go until the last note of the very last song Like A King in California, which is another great track by the way.

So Much For The Afterglow has a beautifulvaried, mix of 13 tracks that are very well written and brilliant songs by these clearly talented musicians. With many of the songs a lot of shows on the kind emotion that for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are their own personal experiences. At different points touching the real emotions of love and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

If you still slightly in the rock music you enjoy this album.Overall, So Much For The Afterglow is an outstanding release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with a single track.

While the entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 5 - I Will Buy You a new life, Track 12 - Why I do not believe in God, and track 13 - Like A California King

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [... as in "Stuck On Repeat"] is track 1 - So Much For The Afterglow. Good stuff!

The factories have their best people working on their professional trumpets.

Silver or gold plated trumpet is justified by a professional. The instrument should last manyTakes years longer than paint and plating. The standard design for a professional trumpet, silver plated and with care it should last a long time. Gilding not like silver on black, but because it is softer, it wears down over time.

All professional trumpets come with first valve slide saddle or trigger and third valve slide rings or triggers. The others can not compare them, for the voice it can beat all! The violin is not playing in tune, and no one cares' bout the low bassoon, the oboe and squwaks crow all day, and the French horn can hardly play it! The flute is so high and shrill! and the clarinet is just there to fill! The trumpet I can tolerate just not, you might as well play the saxophone! Oh friend, for the highest wage, but one can grace the operatic stage, I'm fairFace and my voice is strong, out of sight into the pit they belong! The trumpets they only Gliss and slide, the truth to my friend to you, I trust, clearly the winner, as you will remember, and as you can see clearly! It's all about me! For I, am the best of all! Parents who love music want their children to the joy of the beautiful sounds expose as soon as possible.
